2013 was an awesome year for TechSmith. No, we’re not just talking about the release of Snagit for Chrome, Coach’s Eye for Windows 8.1, and Google Drive integration for Snagit and Camtasia. We’re talking about how Michigan State University went all the way and won the 100th Rose Bowl! MSU finished with an impressive 13-1 record, leaving their mark as a force to be reckoned with in college football. Not many companies can claim an entire sports organization as their own, but here at TechSmith, we consider the Spartans our home team.

- 81% of interns at TechSmith are Michigan State University students
- TechSmith participates in several Michigan State career fairs each year, and 80% of our interns are found through these
- TechSmith is heavily involved with the career services department at MSU and our employees regularly sit in on panels that discuss recruiting and employee relations
- We are corporate participants in the Capstone Project through the MSU College of Engineering, where students work with TechSmith employees on developing solutions to problems and then presenting their ideas
A bastion of blue and gold
TechSmith undoubtedly bleeds the green and white but there are shimmers of other school colors, too. Notably, there is a small-but-powerful contingent of TechSmithies who are University of Michigan alumni. When MSU thwamped U of M earlier in the season, there were numerous workplace jeers, pranks and…”informative emails” exchanged. In the spirit of corporate cooperation, an Instagram photo was taken on the Friday before the game. Can you spot the Blue & Golds amongst the sea of Green?
